Black Ops 6 Players Accuse Developers of Deceptive Promises Regarding January 3 Zombies Update

Players of Black Ops 6 Zombies are expressing their outrage after Treyarch acknowledged that a recent update failed to fix a significant glitch that was mentioned in the patch notes. This issue primarily involves the game’s enemy type known as Vermin, which are intended to be challenging opponents but have become disproportionately formidable due to erroneous one-shot kills and unpredictable damage outputs.

Many gamers were optimistic that the update provided on January 3 would finally resolve these issues. Unfortunately, that was not the case. According to the patch notes, the update was supposed to “address an issue where Vermin could sometimes hit twice with one attack.” However, after extensive testing, players discovered that the Glitch persisted.

Following community backlash, Treyarch conceded that the Vermin bug remains unaddressed and assured players it would be fixed in Season 2. This announcement is particularly disappointing, as Season 2 is not expected to commence until Tuesday, January 28, leaving players with the ongoing issue for an additional three weeks.

The response from the Zombies community has been overwhelmingly negative, with players sharing their frustrations openly in comment sections. One user questioned, “Did these guys just delay a bug fix we already should have got?” Another lamented, “Let me get this straight: we literally have to wait roughly a month for something that should have already been fixed to actually be fixed.”

This incident is not isolated; a troubling pattern has emerged where multiple bugs have hindered players’ ability to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest. As a result, Treyarch was compelled to extend the deadline for quest completion until the end of Season 1.

Moreover, the community experienced issues with ‘god mode’ glitches, which despite several attempts by developers to rectify in prior patches, continue to disrupt gameplay. This inconsistency has led to a growing distrust among players regarding the game’s update reliability. One player candidly expressed their disappointment: “I’m losing faith in Treyarch. As a huge Treyarch fan.”
