Players are criticizing Black Ops 6’s unskippable winner’s circle animations, calling them a “cringe-fest.”
The much-awaited Black Ops 6 beta has been released, allowing players to immerse themselves in the latest installment of Call of Duty and experience the various gameplay updates that the developers have been gradually unveiling in recent months.
Despite receiving criticism for being “super goofy”and a “cringe fest”, the winner’s circle animations in Black Ops 6 have already generated attention.
Following the conclusion of every match, the victorious team is given the spotlight in the form of the winners’ circle, a feature that has been present in all Call of Duty games to some extent.
Despite receiving criticism for its “ridiculous”emote animations in the winner’s circle, the Black Ops 6 beta has sparked a trend among players who have been sharing videos of their Operators using emotes on various social media platforms, including multiple Reddit threads.
The winners circle is so fucking goofy, please let me skip this shit 😭 byu/certified-battyman inblackops6
The game’s ability to not lock animations when selected has been described as “extra goofy”and “jarring.”
Despite the fact that other CoD games, like Vanguard and Black Ops 3, have also incorporated a similar feature, its inclusion in BO6 has confused those who argue that this feature was not well-received in these previous versions either.
“A Reddit user expressed their frustration, asking why they would want to see someone dab on their screen instead of playing the next match. They just wanted to move on, exasperated by the delay caused by the winner’s circle.”
Another individual then proposed that the game “ought to at least lock player models in the specified emote animation once it has begun.”
Despite players’ dissatisfaction with the feature’s appearance, they have also observed that the BO6 winner’s circle animations cause delays in joining matches because it cannot be skipped.
As a result, there is optimism among people that upon its full release on October 25, 2024, Black Ops 6 will offer the option for players to choose whether or not to use winner’s circle animations.
Despite this, the developers have not yet confirmed if the winner’s circle can be skipped once the game officially releases next month.
