BLACKPINK and New Group Debut: YG Reveals Plans for 2025

On July 22, Yang Hyun-suk, the executive producer of YG, revealed in a statement on the company’s official YouTube channel that there will be multiple artists promoting next year.

He stressed the highly awaited return of BLACKPINK, declaring, “A BLACKPINK comeback is definitely happening. This is also the year when their world tour kicks off.”

Prior to this, BLACKPINK had revealed plans for a private offline fan signing event on August 8, in celebration of their 8th anniversary.

Yang Hyun-suk also expressed his excitement for the upcoming world tours of BABYMONSTER and TREASURE, and requested fans to eagerly anticipate them. Additionally, he shared that WINNER’s Song Minho and Kang Seungyoon will be completing their military service at the end of December, and AKMU will also be making a comeback.

Simultaneously, Yang Hyun-seuk hinted at the reunion project of 2NE1 with the announcement of a full group comeback concert in October.

Furthermore, he announced intentions to debut a new rookie group in the upcoming year, tentatively called “Next Monster”.

In the meantime, there has been a significant decrease in performance for YG Entertainment. Analysts in the securities industry have projected that YG Entertainment’s performance in the second quarter will range between 3 billion KRW (-98.9%) and 6.9 billion KRW (-76%) in comparison to the same period in the previous year.
