After not gathering as a full group for several months, BLACKPINK came together once again to commemorate their eighth Anniversary! In a surprise move, BLACKPINK livestreamed on Weverse with all four members at midnight on August 8, delighting their fanbase, BLINKs, and celebrating their eighth debut anniversary.

Fans eagerly watched for over 40 minutes as the members of BLACKPINK caught up during the live stream, as it had been quite a while since all four members were seen together.

This unexpected reunion of the four members evoked strong emotions in BLINKs. Despite the long time that had passed since they were last seen together, observers noted that they seemed unchanged and still shared the same close bond as before.

During the livestream, BLACKPINK delighted their fans by performing a rendition of “Happy Birthday”to commemorate their debut anniversary. One moment that stood out was when Rosé attempted to blow out a candle but was unsuccessful. However, she managed to save the situation by taking the candle out of her party hat. Throughout the stream, Rosé expressed her appreciation, feeling incredibly fortunate to have met all four members before their eighth anniversary.

During their cheerful conversation, the girls also talked about their personal ventures. Jennie inquired about Lisa’s dance challenge for her solo track “ROCKSTAR,”while Jisoo, Jennie, and Rosé eagerly mentioned Lisa’s upcoming appearance on the third season of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”

During a heartfelt moment, Jennie expressed that their upcoming ninth anniversary may bring some sadness as this year has been heavily focused on the number 8. However, Jisoo was quick to reassure fans by announcing that BLACKPINK will also celebrate their 88th anniversary. This statement evoked emotions from fans, reminding them that BLACKPINK as a group of four will continue to exist, even as each member follows their individual career paths.

During the livestream, Jisoo playfully apologized to Lisa for not following their agreement and not wearing all black and pink. Rosé, who was wearing black, also did not have any pink on, which was still considered a miss. Fans were quick to notice that Lisa was the only one fully dressed in black and pink. Lisa later shared on her Instagram Stories that her pants had “BP”embroidered on the back.

After the live stream, BLACKPINK will make an appearance at a fan sign event in Seoul, Korea on August 8 to celebrate their eighth Anniversary. This will be a special chance for fortunate fans to meet BLACKPINK, as it is their first fan sign event since the release of their album “BORN PINK.”
