BLACKPINK Jennie’s Label Addresses ‘Not Official’ Misunderstanding Regarding Her Solo Fandom Name

As BLACKPINK’s Jennie prepares for her highly anticipated solo comeback, she has initiated a countdown to her official return, accompanied by a voice message. However, her label, Odd Atelier, swiftly issued a statement to clarify a misunderstanding concerning Jennie’s expected solo fandom name.

On September 18, Jennie connected with her fans through a voice note, which also suggested her proposed solo fandom title. In the message, the BLACKPINK star can be heard saying, “Hi, Rubies! It’s Jennie. Stay tuned, and see you soon. Love you. Bye!”

Following this announcement, fans speculated that “Rubies”might be their official fandom name. This title likely derives from Jennie’s acting alias, Jennie Ruby Jane.

Recall that the idol used this stage name while starring in the HBO series “The Idol“in 2023, alongside Lily-Rose Depp.

However, questions arose as Jennie’s “Rubies”conflicted with the existing fandom name for Kwon Eun Bi’s supporters, known as RUBI. Odd Atelier promptly addressed and rectified the misunderstanding.

“Jennie was simply using the term ‘Rubies’ to refer to her fans in a news update, and this was not an official announcement of her fandom name,”stated OA.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is set to make her solo debut in October following her recent deal with Columbia Records, part of Sony Music Entertainment, the renowned label home to stars like Beyoncé and Adele.
