On October 16 (KST), BLACKPINK member Jennie saw her latest music video for the single “Mantra” unexpectedly vanish from YouTube globally.

Fans trying to access the previous link received an alert stating, “This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.”

This prompted numerous fans to reach out urgently to Jennie’s management, OddAtelier and Columbia Records, seeking an explanation. Fortunately, the music video resumed normal playback approximately an hour after its unanticipated removal.

However, struggles with social networking services are not new for Jennie during the promotional phase of “Mantra.”

Notably, her official account on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) faced suspension just one day after it was created. This incident was further fueled by leaked screenshots from a fan group chat focused on BLACKPINK’s Lisa. In these images, a Lisa supporter boasted about spending $35 to facilitate Jennie’s account suspension, which left many internet users astonished at such extreme measures taken against a fellow member.

Additionally, Jennie experienced a troubling incident where she lost access to her Instagram account via her phone on October 12, leading to suspicions of potential hacking.

Meanwhile, Jennie’s solo comeback with “Mantra” has certainly left a lasting impact, making waves in the music scene.
