According to a recent study by Music Magpie in the UK, the popular girl group BLACKPINK has emerged as the most streamed artist regarding AI-generated music covers and is facing significant financial losses due to this rising trend.

Specifically, BLACKPINK tops the list of artists whose songs are most frequently streamed in AI formats, followed closely by Justin Bieber and Kanye West.

Moreover, K-pop artists dominate the AI music cover scene, with BLACKPINK leading with an impressive 17.3 million views. They are followed by BTS’s Jimin, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, and Stray Kids.

In terms of specific AI-covered tracks, the most popular ones from BLACKPINK include BABYMONSTER’s “Batter Up”and “SHEESH”, which have garnered over 2.5 million and 1.88 million views, respectively.

Additionally, the analysis from Music Magpie indicates that BLACKPINK is estimated to experience a financial loss of around £376,184 (approximately $500,000 USD) due to AI music. In the second and third positions for losses are Michael Jackson (£262,265 or approximately $346,000 USD) and BABYMONSTER (£246,499 or around $325,000 USD), respectively.
