BLACKPINK Members All Found New Agency+ Plan To Be ‘Separate But Together’

On June 18th, BLACKPINK member Rosé shared that she will be joining The Black Label agency. The agency, which was founded in 2016 by former YG Entertainment producer Teddy, will be her new home as she starts a new chapter in her career.

Jennie founded her own independent label, OA (ODD ATELIER), in December of last year. Since then, she has actively engaged with fans through various mediums such as TV shows, web variety programs, and creating new music. Most recently, her collaboration on Zico’s digital single “SPOT!”has gained attention from international fans. Through her individual endeavors, she is quickly establishing her unique brand and style.

Lisa launched her own label, LLOUD, in February and revealed in April that she had formed a partnership with RCA Records, a division of Sony Music in the U.S. In addition to her music career, Lisa has also confirmed her role in season 3 of the HBO original series “The White Lotus”and will be making her debut on the small screen.

In February, Jisoo officially launched her own label called BLISSO and has since been dedicated to her acting career. She has been confirmed to star in the movie “Omniscient Reader”and the Coupang Play drama “Influenza.”

In December of last year, BLACKPINK officially extended their contract with YG Entertainment, solely for group endeavors. The focus now lies on effectively coordinating both individual and group activities. As they embark on numerous ventures across various industries, the seamless reunion of the group will determine its future. While engaging in diverse projects and exploring new avenues as individuals, each member will also showcase their unique talents. When they come together as a group, they may have to temporarily pause their individual pursuits. Therefore, it is crucial to efficiently manage the schedules of members from different agencies.

Despite starting their individual activities, the members of BLACKPINK maintain a strong friendship with each other. However, it may be challenging for them to continue with their “separately but together”approach as they focus on their individual endeavors. The collaboration between each member’s agency and YG Entertainment remains crucial in preserving the group’s status as the world’s top girl group. This will be a key factor in determining BLACKPINK’s future plans.

In the meantime, BLINK applauds the members’ new beginning with great enthusiasm.
