The 2023 MTV Video Music Award (English: MTV Video Music Award) was held grandly at the Prudential Center in New Jersey last night on the 12th local time in the United States. Several groups of Korean idol artists won important awards.
BLACKPINK won two major awards: “Band of the Year”and “Best Choreography”(Pink Venom). “Band of the Year”is a new award in 2019. It has been occupied by BTS for four consecutive years. BLACKPINK became the first K-POP female group to win this honor.
BTS member Jungkook won the “Best Summer Song”award for his solo single “Seven”, beating Beyonce and Billie Eilish. BTS also won this award in 2021 for “Butter”.
Stray Kids won the “Best K-Pop Music Video”award for “S-Class”, beating aespa’s “Girls”, BLACKPINK’s “Pink Venom”, FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid”, SEVENTEEN’s “Super”, TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s “Sugar Rush Ride””and many other powerful opponents, and gave a wonderful performance of “S-Class”at the award ceremony.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER attended the MTV VMA Awards for the first time and won the “PUSH Performance of the Year”award for “Sugar Rush Ride”. TXT also collaborated with Brazilian singer Anitta to perform the new song “Back for More”for the first time, becoming the shortest idol group to appear on the stage after their debut in K-POP history.
