On August 9th at 7 PM, the members of BLACKPINK – Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa – will be in attendance at the event for the movie, “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK IN CINEMAS”, taking place at Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.
This is the first official event in approximately 11 months where all four members will be present together since the conclusion of their world tour in September of last year. They intend to use the “Pink Carpet”and stage greeting as a way to show appreciation to their fans.
“The film “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK IN CINEMAS”documents the true journey of the “BORN PINK”world tour, which concluded at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. It is scheduled to premiere in more than 110 countries, including South Korea, on August 31st.”
On August 8th, BLACKPINK celebrated their 8th debut anniversary. Prior to the official “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK IN CINEMAS”event, the members held a live stream on Weverse, where they reflected on their journey and expressed how it feels like “just yesterday”. They also took time to reminisce about the past.
BLACKPINK made their debut on August 8, 2016 with two title tracks, “Whistle”and “Boombayah”, which immediately captured the public’s interest. Their second full album, “BORN PINK”, was released in 2022 and created history by becoming the first album by a K-pop girl group to reach the top of both the U.S. Billboard 200 and the U.K. Official Albums Chart Top 100.
