BLACKPINK’s Jennie Sets the Record Straight on Father’s Identity Rumors: ‘We Aim to Clarify…’

In response to rumors regarding her family, BLACKPINK’s Jennie has personally addressed claims about her biological father, who allegedly published a long-form novel about her and the popular K-pop group.

Recently, it came to light that PD Kim Hyung Jin, the author of a fictional work titled “World Informant,”is mistakenly identified as BLACKPINK Jennie’s father on various social media platforms. This novel gained attention for allegedly containing insights about Jennie’s life and her journey with BLACKPINK.

On September 6, Jennie addressed these rumors through her agency, ODD ATELIER (OA). In an official statement, she categorically denied all allegations, stating:

“Hello, this is OA Entertainment. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all fans who love and care for our artist, Jennie.

Recently, illegally produced publications and false information impersonating the artist’s father have been circulating. We want to clarify that these are clearly false facts and have no relation to the artist.”
