On January 23, the YouTube channel “Studio Chika Chika”unveiled an engaging new video in its “Impersonation Queen”series, titled “Jisoo, Park Jung-min, and Su-ji in a Thrilling(?) Love Triangle.”

This episode featured the lead actors from the highly anticipated Coupang Play series “Newtopia,” Jisoo from BLACKPINK and Park Jung-min. During the video, Park Jung-min lauded Jisoo’s remarkable qualities, stating, “Jisoo is such a great person in many ways.” He continued to share his thoughts on the script reading sessions, admitting, “As an actor, I don’t enjoy them. Honestly, I’m a bit lazy. But Jisoo attends four to five times a week, enjoying every moment. I really admire her dedication.”

Park Jung-min went further to describe Jisoo’s challenging role in the series, where she often faces zombies alone. He remarked, “It’s a tough role, but she’s always smiling through it all. Her perseverance is inspiring. Even when she’s undoubtedly tired, she maintains a heroic demeanor, radiating positive energy.”

Sharing a light-hearted moment, Park Jung-min recounted an experience from a promotional photo shoot for “Newtopia.”He explained, “At the beginning of the filming, we went to various iconic locations like Gyeongbokgung Palace for some photos. The director playfully suggested, ‘Can’t you two just meet up for a picture?’”

Following the director’s encouragement, the duo visited Lotte World. Park Jung-min laughed about the precautions they took, saying, “Since Jisoo would surely attract attention, I insisted we find a spot where we wouldn’t be recognized.” Jisoo chuckled as she recalled, “When I looked at the photo, I thought, ‘What kind of couple hides their faces in a photo?’” Lee Su-ji chimed in, saying, “It must have been fun,” to which both Jisoo and Park Jung-min agreed, remarking, “In retrospect, it was. It’s a fantastic memory.”

The exciting series “Newtopia”is slated to premiere on February 7 at 8 PM on Coupang Play.
