On February 28, BLACKPINK’s Lisa candidly discussed the challenges she has encountered since launching her own agency, LLOUD, in a feature on the YouTube channel “Zip Daesung.” The segment, titled “BangPink in Your Area Part 2 | Now There Are Only Two Left, ” provided a platform for Lisa to delve into her entrepreneurial journey alongside host Daesung.

Reflecting on the process of establishing LLOUD, Lisa opened up about the unexpected hurdles she faces as a new CEO. One significant revelation involved the steep costs associated with music video production. She remarked, “The cost of music videos… it’s ridiculously expensive, ” shedding light on a less-discussed aspect of the music industry.

When Daesung inquired about the extravagant music video productions typically associated with BIGBANG and BLACKPINK at YG Entertainment, he asked if any locations had been rented for the “Rockstar” music video. Lisa clarified, “We didn’t rent it. We went early in the morning when the rain had just stopped, and the reflection on the ground made the video look great with no people around.” This insight illustrates the creativity involved in achieving stunning visuals without incurring excess costs.

Lisa further elaborated on her role in the music video creation process. She explained that while directors typically craft the narrative for each video, artists like her are encouraged to share ideas. When pressed about negotiating costs, Lisa was straightforward, stating, “Always. I always ask them to lower the price, ” yet acknowledged that often expenses exceed initial estimates as everyone strives to reach high expectations.

In addition to these revelations, Lisa celebrated the release of her first full album, “Alter Ego, ” on the same day. Looking ahead, she is set to showcase her talent at prestigious events, including the Oscars in March and Coachella in April, marking significant milestones in her burgeoning solo career.
