This annual festival is dedicated to raising awareness and generating funds for pressing global issues, with all proceeds aimed at enhancing educational access for children in Gaza, Palestine, Sudan, and across Africa.

According to a statement shared on its X account (@GlblCtzn), “From Gaza to Sudan, children are recounting their experiences of conflict and emphasizing the importance of education. It is the moral duty of world leaders to finance emergency educational access for over 226 million children in crisis.”

The initiative aims to highlight the urgent need for providing quality education to children affected by conflict.

In regions like Gaza and Sudan, countless children confront significant difficulties due to ongoing wars and strife. The scarcity of educational infrastructure and the severe economic consequences in these areas mean these children are in dire need of international support.

A spokesperson for Global Citizen remarked, “Lisa is truly passionate about social issues, and her voluntary participation in this festival illustrates her dedication to bringing about positive change in the world.”

With the involvement of global celebrities such as Lisa, the funds raised are anticipated to foster better educational opportunities for many children enduring the hardships of conflict zones.

The Global Citizen team added, “Lisa doesn’t just break records; she also defies barriers. We believe education is the foundation for a brighter future, and together we can drive significant change.”

Additionally, Lisa had faced backlash previously for being associated with a controversial figure and for her mother’s alleged support of Israel, which has been accused of war crimes in various nations. Similar allegations have been levied against the family of her rumored boyfriend.

However, Lisa’s choice to perform pro bono, with all proceeds supporting the children of Gaza and Sudan, offers a new perspective on her involvement.
