In the early hours of June 19 (KST), BLACKPINK’s Rosé shared a series of photos on her official Instagram account accompanied by a heartfelt message dedicated to her fans. The photos were captured at Electric Lady Studio in New York, the US, and appear to tease Rosé’s highly anticipated music release.
In the message, Rosé took the opportunity to apologize to her fans for the delay and also shared her thoughts on joining The Black Label. She also indirectly criticized YG by stating that the agency has been more supportive of her compared to her own efforts.

Apologies for the lengthy delay. I am aware that many of you have been eagerly anticipating communication from me for quite some time.
Before releasing my music, I wanted to make sure everything was in place. In other words, anything I said had to be supported by excellent content.
As you are all aware, I come from a place where I have been accustomed to having things done for me rather than doing them on my own.
Therefore, it is necessary for me to take the time to learn, comprehend, question, and have faith in both myself and others repeatedly, in order to become the most accountable version of myself (To be honest, I sometimes wish I had an additional four years in my twenties just to acquire all of these skills! Ha ha).
As many of you may already know, I have a strong dislike for claiming I have something before it is actually true. For me, nothing holds more significance than sharing with you my greatest passion – music.
From the end of last year until now, I have consistently been in the studio almost every day, dedicating my time to creating new music.
Throughout this year, I have focused on creating a plan and directing myself towards my desired destination and future aspirations. It has been a journey of discovering how to be self-sufficient and independent.
Ultimately, I am delighted to announce that I have officially partnered with @theblacklabel as my music management, who will oversee my career development and guide me towards realizing my aspirations.
Additionally, I have some other thrilling announcements coming soon. However, what I truly want is for everyone to be most enthusiastic about my music above all else.
The label, management, and all other related entities (which I know you are all very enthusiastic about!), will be present to provide support for my music and aspirations. I am incredibly thrilled for this opportunity.
