The rumors regarding Rosé’s agreement with a different agency have been verified.
On June 17, popular Korean news outlet Newsen reported that Rosé, the main vocalist of BLACKPINK, will be entering into a management contract with THEBLACKLABEL, the agency owned by producer Teddy.
The company was contacted by the news and in response, an official from THEBLACKLABEL stated that they are currently discussing the contract with Rosé.
The reports caused a stir in the K-pop community, as Rosé is the sole BLACKPINK member who has signed a contract for her solo endeavors. Furthermore, Jennie founded her own company ODD ATELIER in December 2023, and Lisa also established her own company, LLOUD.
Jisoo is under her own company BLISOO. In addition, fans were overjoyed by the announcement of Rosé’s contract, as Teddy is renowned as one of the top producers in the K-pop industry and has created many successful tracks for BLACKPINK’s albums.
Other well-known artists like BIGBANG’s Taeyang, Zion.T, actor Park Bo Gum, Jeon Somi, and many more are also signed under THEBLACKLABEL.
On June 18, THEBLACKLABEL issued an official announcement confirming the management contract for Rosé.
In addition, the agency announced that Rosé is currently in the process of preparing new music. THEBLACKLABEL also urged everyone to show their support for the singer’s upcoming projects.
