Blade Chimera, the highly anticipated 2D metroidvania from Team Ladybug and WSS playground, will now be released on PC and Nintendo Switch in August 2024. Along with this announcement of a slight delay, there is also exciting news about the upcoming demo and a new gameplay trailer for Blade Chimera.
Blade Chimera Demo Confirmed
Team Ladybug has announced on Steam that a public demo for Blade Chimera will be available during the Steam Next Fest in June 2024. Additionally, a new trailer has been released, featuring exciting boss battles, gimmicks, enemies, and intense action.
The highly anticipated Steam Next Fest for June 2024 will commence on June 10, 2024 and will last for a complete week. This event will showcase numerous public demos and developer livestreams, providing a fantastic opportunity to test out upcoming releases from emerging development teams and expand your ever-growing wishlist of games.
Blade Chimera’s initial release was planned for the Spring of 2024, however, the developers have requested more time to perfect the complete version, resulting in a postponement to August 2024. While there is no official date set, the release is only a few months away and we are eagerly anticipating more information.
Blade Chimera Platforms
The game is currently available on PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch.
Their earlier releases were mostly available on multiple platforms, but their most recent game, DRANIUS released in 2022, is currently only accessible on PC and the Nintendo Switch.
It is currently unclear if Blade Chimera will also be available on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. However, it is likely that this decision will depend on the success of the game’s release on the platforms that have already been announced.
Team Ladybug’s past titles are currently discounted on Steam as part of the Indie Live Expo until June 1, 2024.
Prince of Persia: Rogue Prince, a rogue-lite game from the creators of Dead Cells, will be released on May 27, 2024. It is a 2D action game and based on the preview, it appears to be a magnificent game.
