Blake Lively Criticized for Uncomfortable Interview Resurfacing Amid It Ends With Us Controversy

A recently resurfaced interview with Blake Lively, described as “extremely uncomfortable,”has emerged amidst speculations of tension between the actress and It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni.

Despite receiving mixed reviews, the alleged behind-the-scenes conflict surrounding It Ends with Us has captured the attention of fans ever since the movie’s release.

Despite rumors of tension between director Justin Baldoni and star Blake Lively, the two were not seen together at the film’s world premiere. There have been various speculations as to why the two were not seen together, but the exact reason for their absence remains unknown.

The attention surrounding the It Ends With Us cast drama has shifted to Lively herself following the resurfacing of an “uncomfortable”interview that prompted the interviewer to consider quitting their job.

Based on the words of Norwegian interviewer Kjersti Flaa, the interview with Blake Lively and her co-star Parker Posey for Café Society (2016) was the most uncomfortable situation I have ever encountered.

Is it inappropriate to offer congratulations to a pregnant woman or inquire about the costumes worn by an actress in a film?

In the video, Lively responds to Flaa’s comment about her pregnancy by saying, “Congratulations on your little bump,”even though Flaa is not actually pregnant. Lively then proceeds to express her disapproval of Flaa’s decision to ask the cast about their wardrobe, suggesting that the male cast members would not face the same type of questioning.

Fans not only have their own concerns with the clip, but they are also recognizing resemblances to interviews for It Ends With Us.

One fan expressed their frustration after a reporter congratulated a seemingly pregnant Blake Lively on her “little bump,”to which she responded by congratulating the non-pregnant reporter on their own “little bump,”stating that hell is not hot enough for such insensitivity.

Another individual expressed a different opinion, stating, “I understand the point you are attempting to make, but there are other ways to offer congratulations to a woman on her pregnancy without commenting on her physical appearance. As a society, we must stop normalizing this behavior in any form, in my opinion. While I do think it was a bit tactless, I don’t believe Blake is entirely incorrect.”

A third comment added that while Justin Baldoni’s PR team may be trying to manipulate the situation (which is not entirely surprising), it is important to note that Blake Lively made the following statement entirely on her own during an interview about the domestic abuse plot in It Ends With Us.

Despite Lively’s efforts to promote the movie, fans have heavily criticized it as being “tone-deaf.”

A fourth fan commented that Blake Lively’s statement of “grab your friends and your florals”to see a movie about domestic abuse was tone deaf.

Despite being subject to allegations regarding her working relationship with Baldoni, the star has chosen not to publicly address the matter.
