Tite Kubo, the original creator of the Bleach manga, recently mentioned in an interview that he is unable to divulge specific details about the concluding part. However, the mere fact that he has chosen to remain discreet speaks volumes about the significance of what’s to come.
Kubo hinted that fans can expect notable deviations from the source material, including entire episodes filled with fresh content. This decision is understandable given the limited number of chapters left to adapt—Part 1 covered 62 chapters, Part 2 adapted 67 chapters, and Part 3 included 52 chapters. With Part 4 poised to begin from Chapter 661, only 25 chapters remain.
Considering the smaller chapter count, Studio Pierrot is likely opting to integrate new plot elements into the narrative. While anime enthusiasts often express reservations about “filler”episodes, the innovative additions that enhance the storyline are generally welcomed by the community.
The final season is set to feature the epic showdown between Ichigo and the Quincy King, Yhwach. An amusing note is that Yhwach’s voice actor remains unable to shout “Bankai,”adding a layer of irony to the anticipation surrounding this confrontation.
Furthermore, Kubo previously hinted at the possibility of a sequel to the original manga, though no new developments have emerged as of yet.
