Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 3 Episode Count Announced – Exciting News!

We’re gradually uncovering more details about Bleach’s return as we approach Part 3 of the Thousand-Year Blood War, including its episode count.

After 20 years and nearly 400 episodes, the Bleach anime is nearing its conclusion. Yes, Ichigo Kurosaki has been battling evil forces for this long, and it’s hard to accept that he’s set to lay down his sword for the final time.

In 2022, Thousand-Year Blood War began to adapt the massive final arc of Tite Kubo’s popular manga. So far, we’ve enjoyed two cours, and it has now been confirmed that Cour 3 will consist of 13 episodes, promising an engaging finale for the franchise.

Until now, Thousand-Year Blood War, the 17th season of Bleach, has released 26 episodes. Therefore, Cour 3 will match the length of its predecessors.

This consistency is a relief, as sometimes final cours result in feature-length cuts or condensed productions, similar to issues experienced in Attack on Titan. Fortunately, Studio Pierrot seems to be steering clear of this problem, ensuring a well-paced adaptation.

Tomohisa Taguchi is directing Bleach’s final chapter, adding to his impressive directorial portfolio, which includes the Persona franchise and the underrated anime film The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes from 2022. Given his past successes, this concluding chapter is sure to be memorable.

There are four cours planned overall, meaning that after this, only one installment will remain to complete Ichigo’s saga. The franchise has enjoyed remarkable longevity, competing with One Piece in overall episode count, though not with the same level of consistency.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Cour 3 is set to premiere on October 5, 2024. It is poised to be one of the most anticipated anime releases of the year, coinciding with the arrivals of Dragon Ball Daima and My Hero Academia: You’re Next.
