Bleach TYBW: The Ineffectiveness of Yhwach’s Decoy Trick for Genryusai Yamamoto Against Ichibei Hyosube

A pivotal event in Bleach TYBW was the demise of Genryusai Yamamoto at the hands of Yhwach. The Quincy King devised a cunning plan to deceive Genryusai into unleashing his Bankai powers on his decoy, Sternritter Y, only to return later and deliver the final blow to the weakened Soul Reaper.

Despite Yhwach’s defeat against Ichibei Hyosube at the Soul King’s Palace in the final moments of Bleach TYBW part 2, the upcoming installment will center on his revival as Quincy King and his retaliation. However, a lingering question remains for viewers: Was it possible for Yhwach to have employed a decoy against Ichibei?

The Quincy King would have been able to use Sternritter Y as a decoy against Ichibei if he were still alive. However, this plan would have been unsuccessful due to Ichibei’s title, Manako Osho, also known as the Monk Who Calls the True Name.

This article is a reflection of the author’s personal opinions and should be viewed as speculative. Additionally, it includes spoilers from the TYBW arc of Bleach. Please proceed with caution.

Ichibei’s Insight as Manako Osho Thwarts Yhwach’s Attempt to Create a Decoy in Bleach TYBW

While Sternritter Y (Royd Loyd) effectively fulfilled his role as a decoy for Yhwach against Genryusai Yamamoto in Bleach TYBW, there is a belief among fans that he could have been an ideal asset for the Quincy King to employ against Ichibei Hyosube in the Soul King’s Palace.

Those familiar with the manga or series would be aware that Sternritter Y met their demise during the confrontation against Genryusai.

The previous Captain Commander utilized the fourth power of his Bankai, Zanka no Tachi North: Tenji Kaijin, causing significant damage to his opponent, nearly splitting them in two. However, Yhwach soon appeared and showed mercy by erasing the opponent from existence.

Despite Sternritter Y being alive and Yhwach having the ability to use his ‘The Yourself Schrift’ to battle Ichibei at the Soul King’s Palace, this hypothetical scenario would not have been successful due to a specific reason.

Based on the information provided by Bleach TYBW, it can be understood that Ichibei Hyosube is known as Manako Osho, or the Monk Who Calls the True Name. Throughout his time in the Soul Society, Ichibei has been responsible for assigning names to important elements such as Zanpakuto, Shikai, Bankai, and more.

In addition to this, Ichibei was born simultaneously with the Soul King, meaning he resided in the ancient world prior to its division to maintain the balance of life and death. As a result, he possesses unparalleled knowledge in the world of Bleach.

Additionally, Bleach TYBW revealed that Yhwach deemed Ichibei a Special War Threat because of his unmatched wisdom. As the bearer of the title Manako Osho (The Monk Who Calls The True Name), Ichibei possessed the ability to easily discern his opponent’s name.

If Yhwach had sent Sternritter Y (Royd Loyd) to the Soul King’s Palace, Manako Osho would have been able to see through the deception. Essentially, it would have been nearly impossible to deceive Ichibei Hyosube, a being possessing ultimate knowledge.

To defeat Ichibei, it is essential to overpower him with a greater force. It is well known among those who have read the manga that Yhwach will inevitably make a comeback and retaliate against Ichibei.

Undoubtedly, fans would have been delighted if the Quincy King had resorted to his old trick against Manako Osho at the resort.
