Blink-182 fan roasted after singing wrong song on stage with band

During a Blink-182 concert, a fan was playfully teased when she couldn’t recall the lyrics to a song the band had invited her to sing along with on stage.

With a career spanning since 1992, Blink-182 has become one of the most accomplished rock bands in the music industry, having received over 20 awards in their thirty-plus years of being together.

With nearly 2 million combined plays on Spotify, thanks to hit songs like ‘All The Small Things’ and ‘What’s My Age Again?’, the band has amassed a massive following of 21 million monthly listeners on the platform.

Despite having a loyal fan base who can recite every word to their songs, at their August 13 show in Columbus, Ohio, the band invited a concertgoer on stage who appeared to be unfamiliar with the lyrics when the music began.

Despite Blink-182 initially playing ‘First Date,’ the fan started singing along to the lyrics of ‘All The Small Things.’

Prior to beginning the song, Mark Hoppus, who is both a co-lead vocalist and bassist in the band, even took the time to inform the concert-goer of which song they would be performing and when to start singing.

Despite the loud music drowning out the crowd’s reaction, many of the band’s supporters shared their thoughts on TikTok, where the performance quickly became popular.

“I don’t think I could ever face anyone again after that,”remarked one person.

Another person exclaimed, “Being invited on stage to do that is beyond belief!”

“A third person added that they asked her several times, ‘Are you sure you are able to perform this song?’”

The mishap was even deemed “disrespectful”to the Blink-182 community by one fan.

A netizen requested an additional perspective, prompting a response from a TikToker who wrote:

“I was truly embarrassed for her, so I stopped recording. Mark walked away and shook his head, while Tom tried his best to hold back his laughter.”

Another concert attendee became a viral sensation this summer, joining the ranks of the Blink-182 fan. At a Taylor Swift concert in Warsaw, Poland, a grown woman called two teenagers “trash,”causing them to retaliate by threatening her with a security escort out of the venue.
