With the release of Season 5, also known as Season of the Infernal Hordes, Blizzard intends to tackle the issues that plagued the initial launch of Diablo 4.
After reviewing the updates and new content announced for Season 5, players took to Reddit to express their thoughts and opinions. Many felt that this was a sign that Blizzard was finally completing development on Diablo 4.
In Season 5 of Diablo 4, players can expect to encounter wave-based Infernal Hordes, as well as over 50 new unique and legendary items. Additionally, there will be Infernal Variant Foes to face and a variety of fresh seasonal rewards to earn.
On Reddit, the community’s response has been cautiously positive. A player commented, “Historically, Diablo games have not had successful launches.”

Season 5 continues to enhance and improve these systems, specifically adjusting tempering and significantly increasing the power of Unique items, resulting in a more impactful and valuable experience.
The addition of the Spiritborn class and a variety of distinctive mythic items will provide players with renewed motivation to engage in the ongoing fight against the forces of evil.
