Blue Exorcist Season 4 Confirms October 2024 Release Date and Ending Theme Song with New PV

The official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for Blue Exorcist season 4 (Beyond the Snow Saga) shared a new promotional video on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, announcing that the series will premiere on October 5, 2024. The short video also gives a sneak peek of the sequel’s ending theme song.

The fourth season of Blue Exorcist, also referred to as Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga, is a continuation of the previous installment (Shimane Illuminati Saga), which was broadcasted from January 2024 to March 2024 with a total of 12 episodes. It is important to note that the show is based on Kazue Kato’s fantasy manga series with the same title.

New Trailer Confirms October 5, 2024 Premiere for Blue Exorcist Season 4

On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, the official staff streamed a promotional video announcing the release of Blue Exorcist season 4 (Beyond the Snow Saga) on October 5, 2024. They also shared details about the broadcast of the fantasy anime.

As per the announcement, Blue Exorcist season 4 will be broadcasted every Saturday on Tokyo MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV at 24:30 JST, beginning from October 5, 2024 (which is effectively Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 12:30 AM JST).

The show will also air on Tokai TV and MBS at 2:15 AM JST and 2:38 AM JST, respectively, beginning on October 6, 2024. Japanese viewers can later watch the episodes of this fantasy anime on Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting and RKB Mainichi at 1:35 AM JST and 1:58 AM JST, respectively, starting from October 9, 2024.

Fans in Japan can enjoy the series through streaming services such as U-Next, Hulu, d Anime Store, ABEMA, Animehodai, and others. International fans need not worry, as Crunchyroll will also be streaming new episodes of Blue Exorcist season 4 as they air in Japan. This includes the Shimane Illuminati Saga, which was released in January of this year and can also be watched by fans worldwide.

The recently released trailer for season 4 of Blue Exorcist highlights the relationship between Rin and Yukio Okumura. The preview also reveals that the upcoming Beyond the Snow Saga will delve into Yukio’s struggle with his identity as Satan’s son.

In addition to providing hints about the storyline, the brief video also showcases a preview of the ending theme song, Tsurara, sung by the Japanese group, Yobahi.

A statement has been received from the artist on the official website of the anime, in which they express their adoration for the series. In light of this, Yobahi intends to capture the series’ allure through their music. It was previously announced that Reol would be singing the opening theme song, Re Rescue.

Nobuhiko Okamoto and Jun Fukuyama will be reprising their roles as Rin Okumura and Yukio Okumura, respectively, in the upcoming season. Daisuke Ono will also be returning as Arthur A. Angel, while Koki Uchiyama will once again be playing the character of Lucifer. Rina Sato will be starring as Shura, with Yuki Kaji taking on the role of Konekomaru.

Eri Kitamura plays Izumo, while Hiroaki Hirata portrays Shiro. Kazuya Nakai takes on the role of Ryuji, and Kana Hanazawa plays Shiemi. Other notable cast members include Hiroshi Kamiya as Mephisto Pheles, Tomokazu Seki as Ruin Rite, Koji Yusa as Renzo Shima, and various others.

Daisuke Yoshida once again takes on the role of director at Studio VOLN, with Toshiya Ono serving as the scriptwriter. Yurie Oohigashi resumes her role as character designer and chief animation director, while Kohta Yamamoto and Hiroyuki Sawano are credited as composers for the music.

The fourth season of Blue Exorcist will be divided into two parts: Beyond the Snow Saga and The Blue Night Saga. The first installment is set to be released in January 2025, with the second part following shortly after. The upcoming episodes will pick up from chapter 69 and focus on Rin and Yukio as they embark on a mission to save Shura from her family’s curse in Aomori.
