Blue Lock Chapter 261: Kaiser’s Shigaraki Avatar has Fans Questioning the Series

With the unveiling of Blue Lock chapter 261, the manga series exposed the untold events of Michael Kaiser’s past. The manga extensively explored the beginning of Kaiser’s professional journey and his beliefs, showcasing an illustration of him that bore a striking resemblance to Tomura Shigaraki from My Hero Academia.

After examining the two characters and the accompanying illustration, many fans struggled to accept that the artwork was from chapter 261 of Blue Lock. As a result, there were numerous inquiries about whether Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura were deviating from the main focus of the series, which is football (soccer).

Please be aware that this article may contain spoilers for both the Blue Lock and My Hero Academia manga.

Blue Lock: Chapter 261 – Why Are Fans Questioning the Series?

Blue Lock chapter 261 exposed Michael Kaiser’s method of thinking. Having had no experience dealing with kindness and being constantly exposed to malice, he opted to subject his opponents to the same treatment his father inflicted on him.

This effectively conveyed Kaiser’s intention to instill despair in his opponents through his malicious actions. This was illustrated through a depiction of Michael Kaiser that bore a resemblance to Shigaraki Tomura from My Hero Academia.

Despite My Hero Academia being a Shonen series centered around heroes and Blue Lock being focused on football, fans were confused by Michael Kaiser’s illustration resembling a villain from a Shonen series. As a result, the series’ plot was called into question.

How Fans Responded to Michael Kaiser’s Illustration in Blue Lock Chapter 261

Despite the release of the Blue Lock anime and fans’ initial belief that the series was about football, the illustration in chapter 261 of Blue Lock was deemed too bizarre to align with the overall theme of the series, leaving fans in disbelief.

“Could’ve sworn this was a manga about soccer,”a fan said.

“There’s no way this is about soccer yall are lying to us,”another fan wrote.

“the hell going on in blue lock isn’t it a soccer manga,”another said.

Despite the fact that the series had not changed, the illustration left some fans feeling extremely perplexed, causing them to mistakenly believe that it had transformed into a battle shonen manga.

This is due to the fact that not all followers of the series are manga enthusiasts. Many are solely devoted to watching the anime. As a result, they may be unaware of the recent advancements in the series, such as the Neo Egoist League, Bastard Munchen, or Yoichi Isagi’s new rival, Michael Kaiser.

“Lol broo i thought this was ALL FOR ONE,”another said.

Some fans mistakenly believed that the illustration was a leak from the My Hero Academia manga, featuring All For One as the character. This was due to the striking resemblance of their hair to the character in the picture, leading to the confusion that it was actually My Hero Academia villain Shigaraki Tomura depicted in the illustration.

The artwork of Yosuka Nomura unfortunately led them to make a mistake.
