Blue Lock Chapter 278: Noel Noa Employs Yoichi Isagi as a Decoy
The chapter opened with the audience rallying behind Igarashi Gurimu, who, after stepping onto the field, skillfully drew a foul from Rin Itoshi utilizing his distinct malicia. His teammates, Raichi Jingo and Gagamaru Gin, rushed to commend him. In that moment, Igarashi disclosed that Noel Noa had specifically instructed him to provoke a foul from Rin through a robust tackle.
Noel Noa had been observing Igarashi’s actions and recognized the effectiveness of his malicia. Consequently, Noa encouraged Igarashi to continue drawing fouls from Rin and other players of Paris X Gen, advising him to maintain his composure.
As the action intensified, Julian Loki mockingly confronted Rin Itoshi for his inability to surpass Igarashi Gurimu. However, Rin was now determined to overcome his right-back opponent. When the game resumed, Igarashi made a strategic pass to Noel Noa, who called on his Bastard Munchen teammates to follow his lead in the offensive play.
Just then, Ryusei Shidou and Charles Chevalier closed in on Noa, but he skillfully evaded them with a clever one-two maneuver involving Michael Kaiser. Seizing the moment, Isagi sought to join the offensive but was utilized as a mere decoy by Noa, who directed the ball toward Kaiser instead.
Noel Noa then unveiled his true intention for joining Bastard Munchen: to awaken Kaiser’s competitive spirit. He aspires to cultivate a rival capable of challenging him, thus prompting Kaiser’s further development. Shortly after, recognizing the escalating threat posed by Bastard Munchen’s assault, Aoshi Tokimitsu fouled Noel Noa, incurring a yellow card.
After securing a free kick, the Master Striker chose Michael Kaiser for a goal-scoring chance, as his Kaiser Impact technique was ideally suited for this scenario. Meanwhile, Isagi simmered with frustration, realizing he was merely a pawn in both Rin and Kaiser’s quest for growth. Driven by this revelation, Isagi vowed to eliminate any obstacle in his pursuit of becoming the ultimate player in the world.
