*Blue Lock* Chapter 279: Julian Loki’s Godspeed Outpaces Kaiser Impact
The aptly named “Soccer Junkies,”chapter 279 of *Blue Lock*, commenced with Michael Kaiser gearing up to take a pivotal free kick against Paris X Gen. In the midst of his preparations, he posed a thought-provoking question to Master Striker Noel Noa about whether his aim in joining the Neo Egoist League was to enhance his own skills.
In an unexpected twist, Noa neither confirmed nor denied Kaiser’s insinuation. Kaiser deemed Noa’s approach shameful, arguing that the best player in the world should not resort to dubious tactics for improvement. To this, Noa countered that his ambition was never to attain the title of the world’s best; he simply followed his instincts as a striker, and success came thereafter.
At this point, Noel Noa regarded Julian Loki as his primary foe. He urged Kaiser to outshine Loki and strive to compete against him on the grandest stage of all.
The narrative then shifted to Yoichi Isagi, who was deep in thought on how to counter Kaiser’s impending free kick. He weighed his options: capitalizing on a potential rebound or intercepting the ball mid-flight. However, for Isagi to execute either successfully, he had to predict Kaiser’s shooting direction.
Kaiser, meanwhile, expressed his reluctance to play alongside Noel Noa, feeling vulnerable and uncertain. He executed his free kick, aiming for the goal.
Just as Kaiser took his shot, Isagi lunged toward the left post. However, to his dismay, as he reached the anticipated path of the ball, it began to curve sharply to the right, revealing that Kaiser had employed the Magnus kick technique.
Just when Isagi thought all hope was lost, he spotted Julian Loki, the Master Striker of Paris X Gen, springing into action. However, Loki’s late movement made it clear he wouldn’t have time to reach the ball.
Adding insult to injury, Loki referred to Kaiser Impact as “slow,” further intensifying the stakes.
