Blue Lock season 2 reveals its second promotional video
On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, the official site for the Blue Lock anime premiered the second promotional video for Blue Lock season 2: Blue Lock vs. U-20 Japan.
As explained by Jinpachi Ego in the promotional video, before the Blue Lock players confront U-20 Japan, they must undergo the Third Selection. This selection process will serve as a tryout to determine the starting eleven players for the match against the U-20 Japan National Team.
Out of the remaining 35 players, six top contenders will be automatically selected for the starting eleven. These players include Rin Itoshi, Ryusei Shidou, Tabito Karasu, Yukimiya Kenyu, and Seishiro Nagi.
The remaining 29 players must participate in the selection exam alongside these top players. The highest performers will secure the last five spots in the starting eleven.
It seems that Yoichi Isagi will face challenges as he watches his former teammates outshine him, leading to uncertainty about his own future decisions. Consequently, much attention will be on whether he secures a spot in the starting eleven.
The promotional video also hints at potential conflict between the top two players of Blue Lock, Rin Itoshi and Ryusei Shidou.
Furthermore, the promotional video concludes with the reveal of the ending theme song titled “One“, performed by Snow Man.
Towards the end of the promotional video, fans are treated to glimpses of the U-20 Japan National team players, including Sae Itoshi and Oliver Aiku, along with hints about Isagi’s two teammates for the Third Selection, Nanase Nijiro and Hiori Yo.
