Bodybuilder almost knocks out YouTube pranksters over dangerous gym prank

Two individuals known for their prank videos on YouTube faced consequences when they performed a risky prank on a bodybuilder at the gym, nearly getting knocked unconscious.

On August 9, the BUCURTWINS, a duo of amateur YouTubers consisting of Luke Bucur and Silas Bucur, uploaded a video on the platform. In the video, they pranked various gymgoers and bodybuilders at a gym, but not everything went according to their plan.

The twins confidently declared that nothing could go wrong, citing the current year of 2024 as a reason. They approached a man and offered him $1000 if he could successfully benchpress his maximum weight. The bodybuilder enthusiastically agreed to the challenge and the twins stood by as his spotters while he lay under the barbell with the weights.

The bodybuilder successfully lifts the heavy barbell off the stand and attempts to push it higher, but struggles to do so. As the pranksters decide to walk away, he is left with the barbell still resting on his chest.

A fellow gymgoer promptly noticed the situation and rushed over to assist the man in removing the barbell from his chest.

As soon as the barbell is safely placed on the rest, the man stands up and swiftly approaches Luke, beginning to push him.

The prankster simply chuckled and remarked, “I hate to break it to you, but you won’t be getting those thousand dollars,”which led to him being pushed to the ground.

Upon seeing the bodybuilder’s unamused expression, Silas quickly interjects and declares, “It’s just a prank, it’s just a prank!”while gesturing towards the camera.

The video of the occurrence became a sensation on X/formerly Twitter, accumulating more than 5.7 million views and receiving over two thousand comments condemning the individuals responsible for their reckless actions.

Two individuals expressed their disapproval of the situation, with one stating, “They should be arrested for risking a man’s life for views. This is attempted m*rder.”Another person commented, “These guys are foolish to think that claiming it’s a prank will protect them from facing real-life consequences.”

Despite the man’s aggressive reaction to their supposed prank, the twins persisted in their plan to prank other gymgoers by repeating the same statements. Unfortunately, their next target did not react as calmly and they were ultimately chased out of the gym, as shown in the video.
