In Metaphor: ReFantazio, you can improve your Royal Virtues—Courage, Wisdom, Tolerance, Eloquence, and Imagination—by initiating the quest called “Necromancer Takedown,” which forms a crucial part of the storyline found in the Mausoleum, set the day following the royal funeral in Gran Trad.

Starting from the morning of June 12, you can explore the vibrant city of Grand Trad. Look for icons indicating activities or requests that refine your Royal Virtues; these can be spotted on the map as either exclamation marks denoting requests or NPCs marked with a Royal Virtue icon above their heads.

For instance, engaging with the Mustari Man, indicated by an exclamation mark in Sunshade Row, allows you to begin the quest “Pagan’s Dilemma.” Completing this task rewards you with an increase to the Royal Virtue of Tolerance.

Another example includes the Chatty Man NPC, located on Sunluemo Street, who has the Imagination icon overhead. Listening to his tales will enhance your Imagination. Be aware that certain interactions may consume a time slot for that day or evening, indicated by a clock symbol next to your options.

Although these tasks take up your entire day or time segment, enhancing your Royal Virtues is essential for building relationships with your followers and unlocking new Archetypes.

Additionally, some quests or activities will be gated behind a requirement of achieving a specific Royal Virtue level, such as advancing Wisdom from “Naive” to “Informed.” To maximize rewards in each area, it is advisable to regularly check your map for new quests or interactions that can further develop your Royal Virtues, granting you additional bonuses.
