In chapter 12 of “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex,”titled ‘Thorn Soul Bulb,’ the story continued from the previous chapter as Boruto faced off against God Tree Hidari. He quickly set his sister, Himawari, down and instructed Konohamaru to watch over her. Boruto then deflected Hidari’s attacks and countered with Wind Style: Breakthrough, causing Hidari to teleport away using one of his Claw Marks.

Meanwhile, Kawaki and Delta arrived at Jura’s whereabouts. Since Team 10 and Himawari were nowhere to be found, Delta reached out to the Sensor team to obtain their whereabouts. However, Kawaki couldn’t shake off his unease due to Jura’s peculiar posture on the ground.

In chapter 12 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the focus returned to Boruto and his team as Konohamaru expressed concern about Boruto’s actions as they could potentially label him as a criminal. However, Sarada quickly intervened and reminded them that Boruto had saved her life. To ensure their safety, Boruto requested Nishi, the sensory ninja, to monitor any chakra disruptions caused by the Claw Marks.

Sumire reveals to Boruto that Sarada was the target of Hidari. Despite Konohamaru’s closer proximity to Hidari, the villain chose to go after Sarada instead. Sarada herself acknowledges that the God Tree intends to consume her, although she is unsure of the significance behind it. This revelation causes concern for Konohamaru, as Moegi has also fallen victim to being transformed into a tree.

Upon learning that Hidari was a manifestation of Sasuke Uchiha’s chakra, Boruto relayed this information to everyone. It was imperative that they defeat Hidari in order to save Sasuke, so there was no time to hesitate. While Boruto asked Konohamaru to focus on the enemy, Konohamaru questioned the source of his information. Nishi then alerted them to chakra disturbances from the Claw Marks.

Shortly after, Claw Grimes appeared from the Claw Marks. As a result, Boruto and Sarada readied themselves to face them. Boruto then instructed Sarada to only defend against enemies that directly targeted her, as she needed to protect herself from Hidari. The battle commenced and Boruto swiftly defeated several Claw Grimes. When one of them went after Sarada, she skillfully countered its attack. However, Hidari suddenly emerged from within the Claw Grime and captured Sarada.

Upon realizing this, Boruto swiftly teleported behind Hidari and struck him with a powerful Rasengan. Despite sustaining severe injuries, Hidari managed to retreat back to his hideout. However, he soon reappeared at Boruto’s location, leaving behind a trail of Claw Marks to enhance his arsenal before making a speedy escape.

Upon witnessing this, Sarada proposed to Boruto that he take to the air while she remained on the ground to divert Hidari’s attention. Sarada’s plan was for Boruto to strike Hidari once again with a Rasengan upon his return. However, Boruto declined and instead suggested utilizing the Rasengan Uzuhiko at its highest capacity. According to Boruto, one strike of this attack should be enough to defeat Hidari, but in order to do so, he needed to extract the planet’s chakra through his feet. Therefore, taking flight was not a feasible option.

After hearing this, Konohamaru realized that Boruto required assistance to stall for time. He then requested Sumire and Nishi to watch over Himawari. As Hidari attempted to come back, Konohamaru deployed the Rasen Barrier to stop him. However, Hidari was persistent and transformed his hand into a Claw Mark, grabbing Sarada. Sarada quickly broke free using the Chidori Stream and flung Hidari towards Boruto.

Despite Boruto’s incomplete preparation of the Rasengan Uzuhiko, he had no other option but to use it against the God Tree. Though the jutsu was powerful, it did not completely eliminate Hidari as his head and part of his torso remained intact. Boruto was concerned about Hidari escaping once more, but his worries were alleviated when Kawaki arrived and demolished the remaining remnants of the God Tree.

Despite the surprising fact that Hidari had not been completely erased, his core still remained intact due to his possession of a Rinnegan. Without hesitation, Boruto quickly grabbed hold of it and had Kashin Koji examine it using the toad on his shoulder. After confirming that it was indeed the “Thorn Soul Bulb,”Kawaki eagerly inquired about its purpose. Boruto then disclosed that it was a crucial item he needed in order to save his master, who was currently trapped in the form of a tree.

After threatening to cut off Kawaki’s arm, Boruto demanded to know how Kawaki had obtained his information, just like Konohamaru had. But before Kawaki could answer, Boruto was suddenly struck by an attack that pierced through his chest. As he fell to the ground, the Thorn Soul Bulb slipped from his grasp. In a panic, Kawaki contacted Delta and asked about Jura’s status. Delta revealed that Jura had sniped Boruto from outside the Hidden Leaf Village, from the same location where he had been standing.

Evidently, the weapon used against Boruto was a laser-like form of the Biju Bomb. Sarada Uchiha attempted to retrieve the Thorn Soul Bulb as Boruto had instructed, but she was also struck by Jura’s attack. Afterwards, Jura retrieved Hidari’s Thorn Soul Bulb by pulling it towards himself.

After retrieving it, Boruto was the main focus of chapter 12 of Two Blue Vortex as he encountered Jura. To his surprise, Boruto also had knowledge of the Thorn Soul Bulb. This led the God Tree to determine that Kawaki would suffice as the Ten Tails’ meal. Meanwhile, Jura had intentions of eliminating Boruto.
