Boruto could beat Minato in everything except his signature move in the series and Kishimoto has made it obvious

Despite being forced to flee the Konohagakure village due to being falsely accused of the Seventh Hokage’s death, Boruto has made significant progress in his training over the past few months. This growth can be attributed to the rigorous training he underwent during his time away from the village.

It was later discovered that Eida’s Omnipotence was the underlying reason for his switch with Kawaki. This resulted in the village’s pursuit of him due to their altered memories. Upon his return to the village, he was almost unrecognizable.

Over the past three years, the training he received had a profound impact on him, causing some to claim that he had surpassed his own grandfather, Minato Namikaze, known as the Yellow Flash for his intimidating abilities. Despite this achievement, there remains one technique that Boruto has yet to master.

Let’s explore the superiority of the new generation shinobi over Minato, and how the latter was able to master a technique that only a few can even attempt to replicate.

Please be aware that this article contains major spoilers from the chapters of the Two Blue Vortex manga.

Comparing Boruto’s Current Abilities to Minato Namikaze in His Prime

The Yellow Flash of Konohagakure was known for his incredible strength and his ability to protect his village from the Nine-Tailed Beast. He was highly skilled in battle and few were able to match his prowess. Additionally, he perfected the challenging time-space ninjutsu techniques, including the Flying Raijin, which had originally been created by the Second Hokage but he took it to new heights.

Despite his grandfather’s impressive ability to create markers that allowed for strategic teleportation, Boruto has surpassed him by a significant margin. He has even taken it a step further by placing the markers on his kunai, giving him even greater control over his teleportation. As the protagonist of the sequel series, Boruto has now achieved mastery of every Uchiha technique previously known only to Sasuke.

At this point in the story, Sasuke openly acknowledged his inferiority to the protagonist. He also developed a modified version of Minato’s Rasengan technique, which harnesses the rotational energy of the planet. This modification enables him to inflict a rotational effect on his target that persists for as long as the planet rotates.

While Boruto has also been shown to possess the ability to use the Flying Raijin technique in the Two Blue Vortex manga chapters, it is clear that Minato still surpasses him in this aspect. Although Boruto’s version of the technique differs greatly from Minato’s, it is still a formidable skill in his arsenal.

The earlier edition was a joint effort between Kashin Koji and Minato Namikaze. The series’ official website clarified that this is a modified version with significantly more restrictions compared to the one utilized by Minato Namikaze.

The statements made by the creator on the official database website clearly indicate that the version of the protagonist has numerous limitations, thereby validating the fact that Minato’s Flying Raijin is significantly more refined and comprehensive.
