Boruto outshines Itachi as the best brother in the series and the reasons are clear.

The Boruto and Naruto series are frequently compared in different aspects, such as power-scaling, storytelling, plotline structure, and more. Many fans contend that the former lacks the same level of depth as the latter.

It could be argued that Naruto, being the series that many people grew up with, is the magnum opus of its creator, Masashi Kishimoto. However, as most of the events in the series occurred before or during the war, it had a significant impact on various aspects, including relationships, particularly between siblings.

The Uchiha brothers, Itachi and Sasuke, provide a prime example of sibling dynamics in the series. Despite Itachi’s love and concern for Sasuke, he believed that toughening him up was necessary for his survival. In contrast, the main character of the sequel, Boruto, has a strong and positive bond with his sister, highlighting his role as a responsible older brother.

Despite being the deuteragonist of Naruto, Sasuke Uchiha had a difficult upbringing due to the fact that his entire clan was massacred by his brother, Itachi Uchiha. This tragic event transformed Sasuke into an avenger, leading him to dedicate his life to training and becoming strong enough to seek revenge against Itachi.

Despite feeling like he had reached his limits, Sasuke made the decision to join forces with Orochimaru in order to quickly increase his strength. With the help of Orochimaru’s seal mark, Sasuke honed his skills and eventually became one of the most powerful shinobi of his time.

Obito later revealed that Itachi had faced him with unwavering confidence, but before their battle could end, Itachi’s enigmatic illness took hold and he passed away in the embrace of his brother. It was later disclosed that Itachi’s actions towards Sasuke were driven by his desire to protect him from potential harm and ensure his survival through difficult times.

During that time, the relationship between the Five Nations was not peaceful, which caused Itachi to worry about his brother. However, he also had a duty to protect the village, so he taught Sasuke the harsh methods of becoming strong.

In contrast, the Boruto series is set after the Fourth Great Ninja War. During this period, the Five Nations had a strong bond and it could be said that the times were relatively peaceful. It was during this time that the main character and Himawari were born, and they had a true sibling relationship.

After the protagonist was severely injured during the Kara Actuation Arc, Himawari became worried about her brother’s well-being. Once he was discharged from the hospital, she was aware that he would not take it easy, so she showed her support by cheering him on and assisting Hinata in making a bento for him every day, demonstrating their strong bond.

The protagonist showed equal concern for Himawari’s emotions as he did for his own. However, a few days after Kawaki’s arrival, he accidentally shattered the flower vase that Himawari had crafted for her mother.

Despite Himawari’s devastation and the protagonist’s fury, they both demanded that Kawaki apologize to her. While their circumstances may differ, Boruto Uzumaki is portrayed as a superior brother to Itachi Uchiha as he refused to let his younger sibling endure any suffering.
