Boruto theory brings back Kurama in the most twisted ways

The latest chapter of Boruto has sparked a lot of discussion among fans, with Kurama being a major topic of interest. While the focus was initially on characters like Jura, the antagonist’s dialogue towards the end of the manga completely shifted the direction of the story.

Regrettably, the cherished Nine-Tailed Beast perished in the anime as Naruto was compelled to utilize Baryon Mode against Isshiki. The Otsutsuki proved to be a formidable danger to the village, requiring the shinobi to employ every tactic at their disposal.

Despite the death of the Nine-Tailed Beast, many fans are still curious about the numerous theories being created about him. This is because these theories propose the possibility of the Nine-Tailed Beast’s return. One theory, in particular, has a unique and unexpected idea for reviving this beloved character.

Please be aware that this article contains major spoilers from the chapters of the Two Blue Vortex manga.

There is a fan theory that suggests Kurama has made a comeback in the series. The current antagonist, Jura, is believed to be the reincarnation of the Nine-Tailed Beast. However, this theory may appear implausible. Nevertheless, there are a few noteworthy observations that support this idea.

The theory is heavily based on the idea of “energy transfer,”where energy is never completely eliminated, but rather transformed into another form. In the case of Naruto’s Baryon Mode, his chakra and Kurama’s chakra combined in a manner similar to nuclear fusion, resulting in a release of energy. This clash of energy with Isshiki’s chakra also caused a forced fusion. Isshiki noted that each attack gradually depleted his life force.

According to the theory, Kurama no longer exists in the form of the Nine-Tailed Beast, as his chakra has been reduced to a simpler form. This weakened version of his chakra simply exists in this state, leading to the emergence of the Juvenile Ten-Tailed Beast.

Despite being fused with Naruto and Isshiki’s chakra, the remaining Nine-Tailed Beast chakra remained undetected due to its weakened state. However, both the Boruto series and the prequel have demonstrated that Tailed Beast chakra is constantly reincarnated.

According to this theory, the remaining energy returned to the Juvenile Ten-Tailed Beast, leading to the emergence of Jura. This also explains why Jura possesses the power to manipulate other members of the Shinju.

The reason for his choice of Naruto as his target is also explained by his reincarnation. Being the reincarnation of Kurama, there is a direct link to his decision to target Naruto, as the Nine-Tailed Beast and Naruto shared a unique and close relationship.

Upon entering Konohagakure, Jura immediately recognized Kurama’s chakra, but was unable to identify Shukaku’s chakra, which was being safeguarded at Naruto’s home. Jura confidently claimed that he could recognize Naruto’s chakra, as it was the same as his own Tailed Beast chakra.

These are all the connections between Jura and the Nine-Tailed Beast. While the theory may seem unlikely, it is not impossible that Masashi Kishimoto may choose to incorporate this concept into the main storyline.
