Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and Code’s Similarity to One Punch Man’s Garou

The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga has been consistently progressing with its chapters. Some fans have even noted similarities to the ONE’s One Punch Man series.

A certain fan observed a slight resemblance between Garou from One Punch Man and Code from Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Despite noticeable contrasts, the current direction of Masashi Kishimoto’s series could potentially reveal more similarities between the two characters than initially thought.

Despite their differences, Code and Garou both possess immense strength and hold significant roles in the plot, making it possible for Code to be considered Garou’s counterpart in the series. This is largely due to the impactful way in which they were introduced in the story.

Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from both Masashi Kishimoto’s manga series and the One Punch Man manga series.

Boruto and One Punch Man: Potential Reasons for Comparing Code to Garou

The introduction of Code initially portrayed him as a significant danger, capable of defeating and even killing the protagonist. Although this did not turn out to be true for Garou, he was also introduced as the Hero Hunter, effortlessly defeating S-class heroes. As fans saw both characters for the first time, they recognized their immense potential in the series.

In regards to Code, he was hindered by his limiters which prevented him from reaching his full potential. Fans were aware that if Amado were to remove these limiters, Code’s powers would increase exponentially. However, the outcome was ultimately disappointing and it is an area that the writers could have improved upon. Similarly, Garou only reached his true potential when he encountered God, who granted him a portion of its powers. This allowed Garou to unlock his most powerful form.

Despite not revealing his true powers in the series, Code’s immense power allowed him to comprehend the intricate flow of energy in the universe, enabling him to successfully replicate both nuclear fusion and fission. However, in the latest chapter, fans were given a glimpse into Code’s impressive durability when Boruto’s attack, the Rasengan Uzuhiko, was effortlessly annulled by him.

Despite having the powerful Mangekyo Sharingan, Sarada Uchiha struggled to keep up with Hidari, the formidable Shinju entity who pushed her to her limits.

Despite being disoriented, Code appeared to have suffered minimal damage from the attack, indicating that he is vastly superior to Hidari. While he is initially portrayed as weak, the series reveals his true potential and establishes him as a major antagonist, similar to Garou’s remarkable growth in strength after encountering God.

Code and Garou were initially portrayed as powerful characters and have since shown significant growth in their combat skills. Despite being minor antagonists, there is potential for Code to undergo a character development and become a member of the protagonist’s side in the story. This has led fans to speculate that Code could potentially mirror Garou’s journey in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex.
