Fans had previously glimpsed God Tree Ryu’s design in the manga, but the details remained obscured by panel layouts. Thus, the chapter cover provides a clear view of the character in full color.

Ryu’s outfit predominantly features black, similar to other sentient God Trees. He also incorporates an orange secondary color; while the exterior of his robe is deep black, the interior is bright orange. His robe is reminiscent of Akatsuki attire but diverges by having an opening at the torso that flows outward on both sides.
