The chapter began with Jura revealing the purpose of their visit to Konohagakure. He explained that both Hidari and himself were tracking the chakra signature of the Nine-Tailed Beast, believing it to belong to Naruto Uzumaki. However, they were surprised to discover that this signature actually belonged to Himawari. This revelation stunned Team 10, who had initially thought Jura was lying. Shikadai Nara quickly informed the Sensory Unit.

Despite the chaos caused by the revelation, Jura immediately tried to seal Himawari. Nevertheless, Team 10’s Shikadai and Inojin intervened just in time to rescue her. While Jura was impressed by the bravery of the young shinobis, he also made it clear that he would not hesitate to harm them if they obstructed his plans.

Boruto and Kawaki’s First Meeting

Chapter 9 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex featured a brief but impactful clash between two prominent characters. The main protagonist and Kashin Koji were discovered taking a break in a hidden hideout, possibly suggesting Orochimaru’s role in the story. However, a toad was keeping a watchful eye on the village, observing the unfolding events. Boruto was tasked with confronting the two intruders and preventing any further disturbance.

While on his journey, Boruto encountered Kawaki. The latter attempted to kill him and started an attack. Boruto skillfully evaded the Black Receiver rods without any difficulty.

Despite Kawaki’s attempt to attack Boruto with his mutated limb, he failed in a rather embarrassing manner. Boruto criticized Kawaki for his lack of training, causing Kawaki to activate his Karma Mode. Due to resonance, the protagonist was forced to flee the scene as he was unable to control his Karma Mode.

Despite his promise, Jura wasted no time in launching an attack on the shinobis. Thanks to Inojin’s ability to mimic a cartoon beast, they were able to temporarily escape the chaos. Nevertheless, Jura was still able to unleash a smaller version of the Tailed Beast Bomb, resulting in widespread destruction. This inflicted some harm on the group, but their priority remained protecting Himawari at all costs.

Himawari’s comrades were shocked when she seemed frozen during their conversation. However, it was later discovered that she had actually entered the Bijuu Plane, also known as the Mental World. This realm is reserved for communication between the Tailed Beasts and their in-sync Jinchuriki. In Chapter 9, it was revealed that Himawari was gazing at a smaller version of Kurama in this particular panel.

The Tailed Beast was taken aback by the Shinju’s ability to detect his chakra signature. The ninth chapter of Boruto Two Blue Vortex concluded with Kurama questioning Himawari about his identity. In response, Himawari hesitantly replied, “Nine-Tailed Beast.”
