The preview of chapter 9 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex hinted at Boruto’s return following the events of the previous chapter. In chapter 8, Boruto was pursued by Kawaki after his talk with Mitsuki, with the added presence of Delta by Kawaki’s side.
As soon as Kawaki caught up to him, the protagonist utilized the Flying Raijin Jutsu to escape from the Hidden Leaf Village. Despite Shikamaru’s attempt to aid Boruto, Kawaki disregarded his advice. Following this, the God Tree Claw Grimes were spotted attacking the Hidden Leaf Village and Kawaki immediately pursued them.
After a fierce battle, Claw Grimes emerged victorious over Kawaki. He then set his sights on Sarada’s group, where Jura sensed the chakra of Kurama coming from Himawari. Sarada was present as well, and Hidari challenged her to a fight.
