In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 14, the protagonist revealed vital information regarding the Shinju to the village leaders, including Konohamaru. However, he kept his source, Kashin Koji, undisclosed. Following his revelations about the Seventh Hokage, the narrative transitioned into a brief flashback.

During this flashback, Shikamaru reiterated his earlier advice to the protagonist, urging him to accept responsibility for the death of the Seventh Hokage, emphasizing that Kawaki’s powers played a role in the situation. The protagonist conceded, stating he felt he had no other option.

Back in the present timeline, Shikamaru began to reflect on how he had discussed someone else’s powers without knowing their identity. He also pondered why he found the protagonist trustworthy, despite the general mistrust from the rest of the village.

In a surprising turn, Shikamaru regarded the protagonist as the true son of the Seventh Hokage, vowing to protect him at all costs. This moment revealed the depth of Shikamaru’s memories, unfolding in real-time for the fandom.

This chapter not only demonstrated Shikamaru’s formidable mental strength but also underscored the overwhelming nature of the Omnipotence Technique. As previously noted, Omnipotence derives from the powers of the Otsutsuki God, Shibai Otsutsuki, a source that also influences other abilities seen in characters like Daemon, Kashin Koji, and other artificial beings.

Despite Shikamaru nearing the truth behind Omnipotence, it highlights the immense potency of this technique. A person with such robust mental fortitude barely cracks the surface of its capabilities, and it remains uncertain how long it will take for him to fully comprehend it.

Shikamaru’s perspective as a village leader was subtly illustrated at the onset of Eida’s entrance, as many were enthralled by her charms. Yet, Shikamaru resisted, showcasing his unique character and establishing himself as the rightful successor to Naruto Uzumaki as Hokage.
