Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Introduces Redesigned New Generation Sand Village Team

Recent leaks for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 15 have surfaced, highlighting the emergence of a new trio from the Sand Village who clashed with the Claw Grimes. Previously, the ruling trio of the Sand Village, comprised of Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari, was renowned throughout the Hidden Leaf Village, instilling fear even in seasoned jounin.

In the latest installment of this sequel series, we are introduced to a fresh trio—Shinki, Araya, and Yodo—who had also made an appearance during the Chunin Exams at the Hidden Leaf Village. New Generation Sand Village Trio Debuts in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 15

The spoilers for Chapter 15 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex begin with a nostalgic flashback featuring Gaara during a battle against Matsuri, Moegi’s Shinju. In this battle, Gaara valiantly defended Shinki and his two companions from Matsuri’s fierce onslaught. Despite Matsuri’s vigorous attempts to push the youngsters away, Gaara remained steadfast in his mission to safeguard the next generation of Sand Shinobi.

Motivated by Gaara’s determination, Matsuri attempted to banish the children from her vicinity. However, Shinki utilized a jutsu that imprisoned Gaara, which ultimately led to Shinki turning into a chakra tree—thereby giving rise to Ryu. Though Ryu sacrificed himself, his teammates managed to escape and report the incident regarding the Shinju to their village elders.

Historically, the most celebrated shinobi trio from the Hidden Sand Village was the three sand siblings—Gaara, Kankuro, and Temari. Gaara, as the host of Shukaku, the one-tailed beast, was particularly noteworthy within this group.

Given Shukaku’s malicious chakra, it was challenging for Gaara to maintain composure, leading him to become unstable at times. The trio’s formidable skills were complemented by Kankuro’s masterful puppetry and Temari’s graceful wind-release techniques, marking them as a force to be reckoned with.

However, following Temari’s marriage to Shikamaru, this iconic trio was split apart. The Hidden Sand Village lacked a standout team until the arrival of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 15, which presents Team Shinki as the new generation’s Sand Village trio.

In this new setup, Shinki, who is Gaara’s adoptive son, stands out as he possesses a unique kekkei genkai known as Magnet Release. This ability enables him to manipulate Iron Sand in combat, proving to be more effective than Gaara’s traditional sand techniques. He serves as the captain of his team.

Araya, another member of Team Shinki, is known for his expertise in swordsmanship, as well as his skills in puppetry that he showcased during the Chunin Exams.

Yodo also belongs to Team Shinki and is recognized for her martial arts prowess, similar to Rock Lee; in addition, she wields a unique ninjutsu that uses her hair to generate high-frequency sound waves, which can disorient her opponents.

Final Observations

Despite their updated designs and roles, Team Shinki’s contributions to their village still felt limited in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 14. While they could potentially emulate the Ino-Shika-Cho trio from the Hidden Leaf Village, as supporting characters, their chances for significant recognition in future storylines appear scant.
