Boruto Two Blue Vortex: Karma and its Dark Consequences

Although the release date for Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 9 is April 19, 2024, the spoilers for the chapter have already been revealed. These spoilers confirm that Boruto makes an appearance in the Hidden Leaf Village shortly after departing from it.

The protagonist’s decision to not use his Karma powers against Kawaki during their encounter raised questions among fans. Perhaps this was due to the protagonist’s realization of the true nature of Karma, leading to speculation that it was merely an Otsutsuki curse placed upon him.

Since the protagonist was given this Otsutsuki curse, he has only encountered misfortune, such as squandering Sasuke’s Rinnegan and putting his father’s life in danger, among other things.

This article includes possible spoilers from the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series and reflects the author’s perspective.

Why Karma is more of a curse rather than a gift for Boruto in Two Blue Vortex

Based on the spoilers for chapter 9 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, the chapter opens with Boruto’s return to the Hidden Leaf Village after successfully evading anyone who may have been following him. During his return, he encounters Kawaki, who had recently been defeated by Jura.

Kawaki attempted to catch Boruto off guard with his Black Receiver chakra rods, but the quick-thinking protagonist managed to dodge them effortlessly. The next part of the chapter focused on Himawari, who was trapped by Jura. Despite Jura’s attempt to strike her with a Tailed Beast bomb, she was rescued by the Ino-Shika-Cho trio, who had been accompanying her.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex also included Himawari in the Tailed Beast Mental Plane, where a young Kurama was present. This could potentially confirm Himawari’s status as a Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tailed Fox.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, a significant moment occurs between Kawaki and Boruto. During this encounter, Kawaki activates his Karma, causing Boruto’s Karma to also resonate and activate. Despite this, the main character consciously chooses not to awaken his Karma. It is possible that Boruto came to the realization that allowing Momoshiki Otsutsuki to possess his body would have been a grave mistake.

Boruto Uzumaki is the main character of the series and the one who delivered the final blow to Momoshiki Otsutsuki, one of the main antagonists. As a result, the protagonist received a seal on his hand. The antagonist then appeared in Boruto’s mind, revealing his plans to be reborn within him and vowing to take everything from him.

Karma, in the form of a seal, held the power to bring about unfortunate events in the future for the protagonist. Whenever Boruto’s chakra was depleted, the seal would activate and give Momoshiki control over his body. This happened for the first time during the battle against Boro, a subordinate of Jigen.

During the Kawaki arc, his Karma was triggered during his battle with Jigen. As a result, Momoshiki seized control of his body and deliberately targeted Sasuke’s Rinnegan, ultimately destroying it and trapping them both in an unknown time-space.

During the Code Assault arc, Boruto willingly activated Karma to confront Code, which may have been the most terrifying experience for the protagonist. However, Code proved to be too powerful and overpowered Boruto during the battle.

As anticipated, he delved deeply into it and lost consciousness due to its immense power. Following this, Momoshiki seized control of Boruto’s body and caused chaos, only to be stopped by Kawaki who stabbed the protagonist in the torso. This was the only way to break the Otsutsuki curse and rid Boruto of the Karma wielder’s influence.

Despite being killed by Kawaki’s stabbing in the torso, Boruto is able to return to life thanks to Momoshiki’s resurrection abilities. However, the potential danger of the Karma mark overrides its strength, as it could potentially grant Momoshiki control over Boruto once his chakra is depleted.

This could explain Boruto’s decision to refrain from using his Karma against Kawaki in chapter 9 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. It is possible that he underwent intense training with Sasuke to develop his strength without relying on the power of Karma.

The release date and time for chapter 9 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex remains unchanged.
