The cover for chapter 9 of Boruto Two Blue Vortex, which is scheduled to be released on April 19, 2024, has already been leaked. The cover potentially hints at the significance of the InoShikaCho trio in the series.
This week, the cover for volume 2 of the series was revealed, featuring Sarada Uchiha. This may suggest that the author is attempting to integrate the supporting characters into the main plotline and reduce the amount of screen time given to Boruto Uzumaki since the series began.
Please be aware that the views expressed in this article are solely the author’s and may contain spoilers for the Boruto Two Blue Vortex manga series.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 9: The InoShikaCho Trio’s Spotlight
The cover page features Inojin Yamanaka, Shikadai Nara, and Chocho Akimichi in their updated outfits after the time skip. Inojin is dressed in a loose purple jacket paired with white shorts, while Shikadai is wearing a long-sleeved sweater with oversized shorts. Chocho’s attire includes a cropped tank top, black pants, and a jacket adorned with a butterfly design.
During the climactic moment of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Eida used her omnipotent ability to manipulate the InoShikaCho and make them believe that Boruto was an imposter from the Hidden Leaf Village. This led to them assisting the higher-ups in banishing the protagonist from the village.
Despite being featured in the Boruto Two Blue Vortex series, this trio has not received much attention. However, in chapter 8, they were tasked with protecting Himawari from the invading God Trees in the Hidden Leaf Village.
Based on the chapter 9 spoilers, the trio played a crucial role in helping Himawari narrowly evade Jura’s Tailed Beast bomb. This suggests that their involvement in the series may not be concluded, as seen by their appearance on the cover of this chapter.
The InoShikaCho of the Hidden Leaf Village
The iconic trio, made up of Shikamaru, Ino, and Choji, has been an integral part of the Hidden Leaf Village since its inception. This powerful formation, which originated in the early days, includes members from three clans: Nara, Akimichi, and the Yamanaka clan. The most well-known version of this trio is from the Naruto series.
Boruto’s team was made up of the new trio, who were the offspring of the previous generation. Inojin was the product of Sai and Ino’s union and inherited the abilities of both his parents. Although he primarily utilized Sai’s drawing technique for medical jutsu, Ino’s Mind Transfer Jutsu was his specialty.
Shikadai, who inherited the techniques of both Temari and Shikamaru, was the son of the two. Although he has been witnessed utilizing Temari’s Wind Release jutsu, his primary weapon in combat could be considered the valuable jutsu of the Nara clan, the Shadow Imitation jutsu.
Chocho, the daughter of Karui and Choji, inherited the abilities of both her parents. Although she has displayed proficiency in utilizing Lightning Release during combat, her most prized technique on the battlefield is the Calorie Control jutsu, passed down from the Akimichi clan.
