Despite successfully portraying Sasuke Uchiha as a deuteragonist, the author, Kishimoto, admitted to falling short in his development of Sakura Haruno. As the main female character in Naruto, Sakura deserved more attention, but Kishimoto struggled to understand the complexities of a young woman’s emotions. As a result, her character did not receive the depth and development that was necessary for such an important role.

The creator also admitted that his neglect of Sakura’s character was apparent in how he handled her backstory. The show did not fully explore her past or her relationship with her parents, highlighting a flaw in her narrative.

Despite this, Sasuke and Sakura’s daughter Sarada Uchiha was not exempt from this. In fact, Boruto manga creator Mikio Ikemoto successfully portrayed Sarada as the main female character in the Boruto manga, as stated by Masashi Kishimoto.

Sarada is a more developed character compared to Sakura. Fans appreciate her independence and the way her relationship with her parents is portrayed. As a result, fans have a clearer understanding of Sarada’s personality, unlike Sakura’s.

In addition to her personality and story, Mikio Ikemoto’s skillful handling of Sarada also extended to her character design. According to Masashi Kishimoto, Sarada was one of the most visually impressive characters in the series. Therefore, regardless of any confusion among fans about her role in the series, one thing remains clear – Sarada Uchiha is unquestionably the main female character in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga.
