Boruto’s Interruption During Sarada’s Pivotal Fight Could Devastate Her Growth

The preview for Chapter 10 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex has already been released, even though the actual chapter is not scheduled to come out until May 20, 2024. According to the preview, the long-awaited battle between Sarada and Hidari has finally begun.

The previous chapter focused on Himawari’s journey to the mental plane of the Tailed Beasts, where she encountered a young Kurama. While fans were anticipating the continuation of Himawari’s story in the next chapter, the Uchiha clan took center stage with the intense Sarada vs Hidari battle.

Although many fans anticipate Sarada to play a key role in chapter 10, they also hope that the protagonist will rescue her from Hidari. However, this could potentially hinder her character growth, as the anime has portrayed her as a self-sufficient fighter throughout multiple story arcs, emphasizing her independence and ability to handle situations on her own.

Why Boruto saving Sarada in the Sarada vs Hidari fight could ruin the Uchiha’s character development

During chapter 9, Hidari and Jura successfully infiltrated the Hidden Leaf Village and unexpectedly encountered Himawari, who they were tracking through the chakra of Kurama. As they approached her, the God Trees launched an attack, but luckily she was aided by the Ino-Shika-Cho team. They quickly escaped to a deserted location, where Himawari was suddenly transported to the chakra dimension of the Tailed-Beasts. There, she came face to face with a young Kurama.

On the opposite side, Sarada and Sumire make their way towards Himawari’s location after sensing her chakra. This sets the stage for the next chapter, as the preview for Boruto Two Blue Vortex, released on May 14, 2024, hinted at a fierce showdown between Hidari and Sarada. The glimpse of Sarada using her Sharingan suggests that their battle will be intense.

To the astonishment of fans, this upcoming event could mark Sarada’s first official one-on-one battle, disregarding her previous fights in the Genin Exams. As a result, many are anticipating the arrival of the protagonist to assist her, much like how Boruto came to Hidden Leaf Village after being informed by Kashin Koji about the God Trees.

However, if the protagonist were to save Sarada from Hidari, it could potentially harm the Uchiha’s character, which has been carefully developed throughout the anime. Despite not having any solo battles in the original Boruto manga, Sarada has participated in multiple independent battles throughout the anime series.

One of Sarada’s most renowned battles was against Chocho Akimichi during the Chūnin Re-Examination Arc. Sarada’s overconfidence irked Chocho, causing them to engage in a serious clash. Sarada displayed her advanced kuniochi skills and ultimately emerged victorious with a Chidori.

Despite being in the midst of a heated battle against Hidari, as seen in the chapter 10 preview, it would not make any sense for the protagonist to intervene. Instead, they could potentially redirect their focus towards their sister, Himawari, and engage in a battle against Jura.

The Dynamics of Sarada and Boruto’s Relationship

Despite the show clearly establishing it multiple times, some fans continue to struggle with understanding that the protagonist and Sarada’s relationship can be described as that of a protector and the protected.

Sarada may hold the protagonist in high regard, but this does not necessarily mean she would sacrifice everything and rely on Boruto to save the day.

Therefore, she would take on her battle against Hidari on her own, and the protagonist would refrain from getting involved in their fight. This is not because he lacks concern, but because he has faith in Sarada’s capabilities.
