Boxing Legend Open to Jake Paul Fight on One Unique Condition

Prince Naseem Hamed, a renowned boxer, has expressed interest in potentially returning to the ring to face Jake Paul in the future. However, he has specified that this would only be possible under a specific condition.

Ever since entering the world of boxing, Jake Paul has engaged in verbal battles with some of the sport’s most legendary fighters. He has targeted big names such as Floyd Mayweather, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Carl Froch, and Tyson Fury, all in an attempt to garner more attention.

In July, he will finally get the opportunity to step into the ring and go head-to-head with a legendary boxer, as he faces off against ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson in a live event on Netflix.

Although other suitors are interested, the ‘Problem Child’ also has a number of other potential suitors. While there have been callouts from the mixed martial arts world, the most intriguing offer comes from Prince Naseem Hamed, the former Featherweight and Bantamweight champion with an impressive record of 36-1.

Despite stepping away from boxing in 2002 at the age of 50, he never officially retired due to chronic hand issues. He has recently expressed his willingness to fight Jake, but only if the proceeds from the match were donated to charity.

“I would consider fighting for a country, if it were for a noble cause or to raise a significant amount of money. In that case, I would be motivated to train and get in shape to participate.”

During an interview with TalkSport, the British boxing icon stated, “That’s the only instance where I truly feel compelled to fight, to do something with the intention of raising money.”

Hamed mentioned that his primary focus for fundraising would be Yemen, the country of his parents’ origin, as well as Palestine.

He expressed his interest in training and mentioned that one of his dreams would be for him and his three sons to be on the same card in the Middle East. He also clarified that he never officially retired.

We’ve definitely seen stranger things occur, and, as evidenced by Tyson, Jake is persuading legendary fighters to return to the ring for one final match.
