Breaking News: Popular GTA mod is finally coming to GTA Online console players

In the near future, fans of GTA Online on console will finally have access to one of the most highly requested mods, as Rockstar’s own version of FiveM is on its way.

If you have ever watched a GTA RP stream, then you are likely familiar with FiveM. This mod enables players to create and join custom roleplay servers, which have gained immense popularity in recent years.

Speculation has been circulating, particularly regarding GTA 6, that Rockstar may begin implementing RP elements due to its increasing popularity. This chatter only grew when the Grand Theft Auto developers acquired the team responsible for FiveM.

Despite the fact that FiveM will not be directly available on GTA Online, Rockstar will still incorporate their own version. This information was revealed in an article by GTAFocal, where former FiveM developers discussed their experience working with Rockstar.

According to their report, Rockstar’s upcoming plan, which is expected to incorporate the public mission creator that was leaked in late July, is scheduled to be introduced into GTA Online sometime later this year, most likely in the early fall season.

The first release is expected to only be available on PC, followed by a release on next-generation consoles shortly after. This integration on consoles will ensure the longevity of GTA Online until the much-anticipated launch of GTA 6.

FiveM is key for a number of GTA RP servers.

Despite much speculation, there is currently no concrete information available about the specific content of the add-on. It is believed that the add-on may grant users the ability to manipulate in-game assets and host their own servers, but it is uncertain if this will also involve microtransactions, which have been a significant aspect for Rockstar in the past.

The impact of this on FiveM remains uncertain. The platform currently hosts popular RP servers such as NoPixel, and it is expected that transitioning to a new host will not be without challenges.

Regarding the future of GTA Online, this update suggests that Rockstar has a new plan in store for GTA 6 and is leaving the current content in GTA 5 untouched.
