As for the latest releases on Netflix, Virgin River Season 6 may have been overlooked, but the CEO of the streaming service has just revealed some exciting news for eager fans.

The streaming service has proudly announced a strong lineup of releases for this year, with highly anticipated titles such as Heartstopper Season 3 and Emily in Paris Season 4 already having their release dates confirmed.

Despite this, the release date for new episodes of Virgin River Season 6 is still uncertain at the time of writing.

Despite previous concerns, there is now a positive aspect for the upcoming TV show. Initially scheduled for an early 2025 release, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has officially announced that it will instead premiere in late 2024.

During the Netflix Q2 earnings interview, Sarandos announced the return of popular shows such as Squid Game, Emily in Paris, Selling Sunset, The Lincoln Lawyer, The Diplomat, Virgin River, and Love is Blind. He also teased an exciting new season of Monsters coming from Ryan Murphy later this year.

“All of that is still scheduled to happen before the end of the year.”

Production for the sixth season of Virgin River began in February, but there has been no official confirmation on whether filming has concluded. Based on the timeline of Season 5’s release and the current status of production, it is reasonable to expect that the new season will be released sometime in the months of November or December.
