Breaking Records: Diablo 4 player clears level 80 Artificer’s Pit run with a single skill

Players of Diablo 4 are known for their penchant for breaking the game, and this particular Artificer’s Pit run with only one skill showcases this perfectly.

The inclusion of permanent Helltides, new crafting mechanics, and a merciful update to Aspects and inventory management in Diablo 4 Season 4 will be remembered for their game-changing impact. Another noteworthy aspect that may spark nostalgia is the intriguing balance changes made to the classes.

The upcoming release of Diablo 4 Patch 1.4.3 has caused confusion among many fans as powerful classes like the Barbarian received additional buffs. In contrast, players have deemed the Druid as “dead”due to only a slight increase in its power.

If there was any doubt about the Barbarian’s dominance in Diablo 4 Season 4, one only needs to look at Reddit user dioiadu‘s level 80 Artificer’s Pit run, where they only used a single skill. This skill, Bash, is well-known among those who follow the meta.

To the “pit 80 with 1 weapon” guy, I present you the 1 skill pit 80 byu/dioiadu indiablo4

The run was inspired by a player’s post on Reddit about using a Barbarian to clear a level 80 Pit with only one weapon, in an effort to reduce the number of Affixes providing buffs. Despite having access to a full arsenal of weapons with Affixes, dioiadu managed to complete the Pit using only the Bash skill.

It can be argued whether this achievement is equivalent to that of a single weapon run. Currently, Bash has become extremely strong due to an unintentional buff in its Tempering, which causes the percentage increases to be multiplicative instead of additive like other skills in the game.

Despite Blizzard’s lack of addressing the issue in Patch 1.4.3, Barbarians will continue to have a significant advantage thanks to this feature, as Bash can be increased multiple times compared to other Skills that only offer a 30% increase in effectiveness through Tempering offers. This will likely remain the case for the foreseeable future in practical gameplay.

It is unfortunate that other classes cannot perform these impressive feats, and the discrepancy between the top and bottom tiers in Diablo 4 is a concern for the playerbase. It is up to Blizzard to decide whether to improve the effectiveness of other classes or reduce the impact of the Barbarian.
