Breaking Rules or Special Privilege? NCT Taeyong’s Midnight Social Media Post Leaves Fans Baffled

Despite currently fulfilling his military service duties, NCT’s Taeyong sparked curiosity among netizens on May 30th when he shared an Instagram Story at approximately 1 a.m. The picture captured a peaceful night scene with a red moon and the reflection of streetlights on a lake.

Despite Taeyong’s absence from the entertainment industry since his enlistment on April 15th, a recent post by him has left netizens perplexed. The Ministry of National Defense has strict regulations for soldiers, allowing them to use mobile phones only from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on holidays.

During guard duty, on-duty service, general lessons, and training, the use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited for them.

Within moments, fans flooded social media to convey their confusion and offer possible explanations for the situation. Some questioned if it was even plausible for him to be using a mobile phone at 1 a.m., while others pondered if someone else had taken the phone and shared the content on his behalf. Comments ranged from disbelief, with remarks like “It doesn’t make sense,”to considering his status in the Navy with comments such as “But isn’t he in the Navy?”

Currently, it is still unclear why Taeyong was able to use his cell phone at 1 a.m. Fans and netizens are speculating if there were any unique circumstances that permitted him to do so, leaving them curious and questioning.

On April 15th, Taeyong became the first NCT member to enlist in the Navy and begin his military service. He is expected to be discharged on December 14th of next year.

Recent news sparked speculation that NCT’s Taeyong may be feeling like an outcast, following his statement that other members do not confide in him about their worries.

As a result, there were negative comments mentioning his previous controversies. However, NCTzens came to Taeyong’s defense by clarifying that his struggle with empathy is a result of his personality type, rather than any relational problems. They reminded others not to overly scrutinize the group’s dynamics and reaffirmed Taeyong’s position as a respected leader.
