Brendan Schaub says he would “beat the sh*t” out of Joe Rogan in an MMA fight

According to ex-MMA fighter Brendan Schaub, UFC host Joe Rogan is a formidable opponent, but Schaub is confident that he would still come out victorious in a physical altercation.

Schaub was once a UFC heavyweight contender and came in second place to Roy Nelson on the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter.

Despite starting his career in the UFC with a promising 4-1 record, Schaub’s success was short-lived as he later suffered four losses in his next six fights. Ultimately, his career in the UFC came to an end in 2014.

Schaub has continued to make appearances on the Joe Rogan Experience, a highly popular podcast hosted by Rogan, following his retirement from MMA. Through this, a strong bond and friendship has formed between the two men.

Rogan’s presence as a cage-side commentator in the UFC is a constant, with his voice accompanying numerous iconic moments in the sport’s history.

According to Schaub, Rogan possesses more than just knowledge about mixed martial arts. He has impressive lower-body strength and a deep understanding of jiu-jitsu.

Schaub confirmed that Joe has great kicking abilities, stating, “Absolutely, for someone who has never competed professionally, he kicks like a motherf*cker.”

The relevant conversation took place between 9:35 and 10:10.

If pitted against any celebrity, he will undoubtedly come out victorious as he is a blackbelt in jiu-jitsu and a formidable force in civilian life.

After presenting Rogan with his accolades, Schaub clarified that, despite being an impressive 56-year-old, it does not equate to being a UFC fighter.

“It’s important to understand that I was actually ranked in the top ten in the world. This sets me apart and makes me a different kind of competitor. I have no doubt that I would easily defeat [Rogan].”

Upon examining their builds, it becomes evident that there is a physical mismatch between Rogan and Schaub. With his height of five-foot-six and weight of 200 pounds, Rogan would be at a disadvantage against Schaub’s six-foot-four, 245-pound frame in the octagon.

Despite Schaub’s admiration for Rogan’s skills in mixed martial arts, he should not be underestimated as an opponent.
